ghar mein tha kya ki tera gham use ghaarat karta wo jo rakhte the hum ek hasrat-e-tamir so hai the poet questions the destructive power of love's grief, arguing that his heart was already destitute and held nothing of value to be looted. the only possession he ever had was an unfulfilled desire to build a home or a life. since this was merely an abstract longing rather than a material reality, it ironically survives the destruction.
