aankhen dikhlate ho joban to dikhao sahab wo alag bandh ke rakkha hai jo mal achchha hai show me not your anger dear show me your youthful prime the wealth that you have covered up is truly sublime इस शे’र में ग़ज़ब का चोंचाल है। यही चोंचाल उर्दू ग़ज़ल की परम्परा की विशेषता है। आँखें दिखाना द्विअर्थी है। एक मायनी तो ये है कि केवल आँखें दिखाते हो अर्थात मात्र आँखों का नज़ारा कराते हो। दूसरा अर्थ यह है कि केवल ग़ुस्सा करते हो क्योंकि आँखें दिखाना मुहावरा है और इसके कई मायनी हैं जैसे घूर कर देखना, क्रोध की दृष्टि से देखना, घुड़की देना, इशारा व संकेत करना, आँखों ही आँखों में बातें करना। मगर शे’र में जो व्यंग्य दिखाई देता है उसके अनुसार आँखें दिखाने को घुड़की देने अर्थात क्रोध से देखना ही समझना चाहिए। जोबन के कई अर्थ हैं जैसे सुंदरता, चढ़ती जवानी, स्त्री की छाती अर्थात स्तन। जब ये कहा कि वो अलग बाँध के रखा है जो माल अच्छा है तो तात्पर्य स्तन से ही है क्योंकि जब आँख दिखाई तो स्पष्ट है कि चेहरा भी दिखाया और जब आमने सामने खड़े हो गए तो जैसे चढ़ती जवानी का नज़ारा भी हुआ। अगर कोई चीज़ जो शायर की जानकारी के अनुसार अच्छा माल है और जिसे बाँध के रखा गया है तो वह प्रियतम का स्तन ही हो सकता है। इस तरह शे’र का अर्थ यह होता है कि तुम मुझे केवल ग़ुस्से से आँखें दिखाते हो और जो चीज़ देखने का मैं इच्छुक हूँ उसे अलग से बाँध कर रखा है। shafaq sopori
